Faisalabad textile supply

Silica gel supplier for Faisalabad textile mills and garment exporters.

Sachets sized for polybags and garment cartons, plus container strips for the sea leg, dispatched factory-direct from Karachi. The DMF-free statement that EU and UK buyers ask for comes with the order.

Where moisture costs a Faisalabad exporter money

Product fit, the details we need to quote, the documents that ship with an order, and how to place one.

Garments

Polybags and folded stock

Cotton holds moisture. A garment folded into a polybag in a humid Faisalabad August and shipped to a European winter arrives with mildew spotting that no amount of pressing removes. 0.5g to 2g sachets inside the polybag are the standard answer.

Home textiles

Towels, bed linen, and made-ups

Bulkier goods hold more water and sit in cartons longer. Master cartons of towels and made-ups usually take 10g to 50g packs, sized against the carton volume rather than the piece count.

Fabric rolls

Greige and finished fabric

Rolls stacked in an unconditioned warehouse through the monsoon pick up moisture at the edges. Larger packs or loose beads in the wrapping slow that down while the stock waits for a shipping slot.

Containers

The sea leg to Europe and North America

Carton-level sachets protect the goods; they do not protect the container. On a four to six week route, hanging strips at the container ceiling handle the condensation that drips back onto the top layer, which is what container rain actually is.

What a Faisalabad textile enquiry should include

Textile quotes are fastest when the enquiry describes the pack, the route, and the document set the foreign buyer has asked for.

MOQNo minimum order quantity. Trial and sample quantities are supplied in every format, and the rate improves with volume.

What a textile exporter should know before buying desiccant

Faisalabad ships a lot of cotton into markets with strict chemical rules and short patience for damaged stock. Three things decide whether a desiccant helps or creates a problem.

DMF

Why the DMF-free statement exists

Dimethyl fumarate was used in some desiccant sachets and caused severe skin reactions through furniture and footwear in Europe, which led to a restriction. Buyers in the EU and UK now ask textile and leather suppliers to confirm sachets are DMF-free. DryGelWorld issues that statement on manufacturer letterhead with the order. It is a declaration, not a certification, and should be described that way to your buyer.

Cobalt

Blue gel is the wrong choice for Europe

Blue indicating silica gel gets its colour from cobalt chloride, listed as a substance of very high concern under EU REACH. Cobalt-free orange indicating gel does the same job, changing colour as it takes up moisture. Blue gel is still supplied on request and clearly labelled, but it is never described as cobalt-free and should not be sent into an EU or UK order without the buyer knowing.

REACH

What DryGelWorld does not have

There is no REACH registration number. That is a real constraint, and European buyers do ask. Under REACH the registration obligation generally sits with the EU importer rather than the non-EU supplier, so the question is usually answered by your buyer's own compliance route, but it must be raised early rather than at the letter of credit stage.

Sizing

How much goes in a polybag

For garment polybags the working range is 0.5g to 2g per bag, with 1g the most common. Master cartons of made-ups usually take 10g to 50g. The on-site calculator converts a carton size into a quantity, and the result carries into a quote request with the numbers already filled in.

Supply

Factory-direct, from Karachi

Manufacturing has been in Karachi since 1983 and there is no Faisalabad office or warehouse. Cartons are dispatched from the North Karachi plant by road on your transporter or ours. The advantage is the price you pay is the factory price, and the SDS, COA, and DMF-free statement come from the people who packed the goods.

The textile export stack

Inside the polybag, 1g sachets do most of the work; master cartons move up to the larger packet sizes; and the sea leg is covered by container desiccant strips sized with the container calculator. Orders going to Europe should use cobalt-free orange indicating gel rather than blue, and the reasoning is set out in the cobalt-free safety guide. Buyers who want their own brand on the sachet should read the private label page.

Available sizes and packing formats for commercial buyers

Use these size ranges as an RFQ starting point. Final sizing depends on carton volume, product sensitivity, route humidity, storage time, and whether the buyer needs sachets, bags, or bulk beads.

0.5g-5g sachets

Small product packs, bottles, electronics accessories, precision parts, and retail cartons.

Best when desiccant sits inside the unit pack and needs clean insertion during packing.

10g-50g bags

Master cartons, footwear boxes, garments, tools, industrial parts, and larger product cartons.

Use when carton-level protection matters more than unit-level insertion.

Bulk beads / 25kg bags

Repackers, distributors, warehouses, and industrial moisture control workflows.

Quote by kg, pallet, recurring monthly volume, bead grade, and export packing requirement.

Private label / custom

Brands, distributors, OEM packers, and repeated export programs.

Confirm packet text, warning copy, material, carton labels, MOQ, and document requirements early.

How a Faisalabad exporter should raise the enquiry

The difference between a same-day number and a week of messages is usually four lines of detail.

01

Describe the pack, not just the product

Polybag, inner carton, or master carton; and roughly how much air is inside it. That decides the gram size far more than the garment does.

02

Give pieces per month

Textile orders repeat. A monthly figure gets the volume rate on the first order, and there is no minimum to reach before you qualify.

03

Name the destination country

EU and UK orders should be quoted with the DMF-free statement and cobalt-free orange gel from the start, rather than discovering the requirement at the buyer's inspection.

04

Say whether the sachet carries print

Plain stock ships from inventory. Printed private-label sachets with your own warning text add roughly five to ten days after artwork sign-off and carry a print minimum.

Send these details for a PKR price

Published rates are per piece; your rate moves with size, quantity, and packing. Send these and the Karachi desk replies with a firm price, usually within the hour in business hours.

Buyer FAQs

Short answers for search snippets and procurement teams comparing suppliers.

FAQ 01

What size silica gel sachet goes in a garment polybag?

0.5g to 2g per polybag, with 1g the most common choice for shirts and light garments. Heavier items and multi-piece packs move to 2g. The decision is driven by the air volume inside the sealed bag and how long the goods will be in transit and storage.

FAQ 02

Do you supply the DMF-free statement Faisalabad exporters need?

Yes. It is issued on manufacturer letterhead and supplied with the order. It is a declaration by the manufacturer, not a third-party certification, and should be presented to your buyer as such.

FAQ 03

Do you have a REACH registration number?

No. DryGelWorld holds ISO 9001:2015 and issues a DMF-free statement, but it is not REACH registered. Under REACH the registration duty usually falls on the EU importer rather than a non-EU supplier, so raise it with your buyer early. We will not invent a number.

FAQ 04

Should textile exports to Europe use blue or orange indicating gel?

Orange. Blue indicating gel contains cobalt chloride, an EU substance of very high concern, and should not go into a European order without the buyer's explicit knowledge. Cobalt-free orange gel changes colour the same way and is the correct specification for EU and UK routes.

FAQ 05

Is there a minimum order for Faisalabad mills?

No. There is no minimum order quantity on plain stock in any size, and trial quantities are supplied before bulk commitments. Printed private-label sachets are the one exception: a print run has a practical minimum, confirmed at quote with the artwork.

FAQ 06

How is the order delivered to Faisalabad?

Cartons are packed and dispatched from the Karachi factory by road. Most mills nominate their own transporter; delivery can also be arranged from our side and quoted separately. There is no DryGelWorld warehouse in Faisalabad.

FAQ 07

Can sachets carry our own brand and warning text?

Yes. Printed private-label sachets are produced in Karachi with your logo, the warning text in the languages your destination requires, and lot codes. Allow roughly five to ten days after artwork approval on top of the normal dispatch.

FAQ 08

Do carton sachets replace a container desiccant?

No, they do different jobs. Sachets protect the goods inside the pack. A hanging strip at the container ceiling handles the moisture in the container air that condenses on the roof and drips back onto the top cartons. Long sea routes to Europe and North America usually need both.
